OBJECT: Studies of current situation of São João de Sorocaba Landfill biogas generation to enable Carbon Credit generation through CDM/Kyoto Protocol implementation.

Main Activities

    Diagnosing the amount of residues disposed in the landfill since its implementation; Current and future biogas production in the landfill, as well as the impact of residue disposal shutout on biogas production; Technical-financial feasibility study of biogas collection, measurement and treatment system implementation, for carbon credit generation; Estimation of carbon credit potential generation through Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), provisioned in the Kyoto Protocol; Interim report with diagnosis of amount of residues disposed in landfill; Final report showing carbon credits complete feasibility study and estimates.
